Sending my sympathies to John's family. I so remember John when he would come into the Stoneham Senior Center and would always take time to say hello to me. I also remember his dear wife, Ann. She was a trip advisor on many voyages that she arranged to many local spots in New England. Sincerely, Sandy W. Kirby

Rest in peace Johnny Angel❤ One of the sweetest man I've ever met always a smile and a hand out to welcome anyone in the door at the south end club for a wildfire concert. We always had laughs and good times I met you at the south end Italian club through Sarah. We had so much fun getting birthday cakes and helping people celebrate their birthdays at the club and wildfire Walter and I will miss you very much!

Sarah and John's family,
I was very saddened to learn of John's sudden death, I have known John for over 50 years, we worked together many years at the Globe, at times on the same shift with the same days off. I always was impressed with John's many excellent human qualities, along with his wonderful personality, my kids would often ask me "when is Mr. Maratta coming to our house." I will keep John in my prayers at this difficult time.
Rest in peace my good friend.

Uncle John and Auntie Anne would come to my house every Thanksgiving as well as other holidays. I have many photos of John at family affairs. As my Aunt was close like my big sister John was a playful partner in life as she was his "Poopsi". These people shared every aspect of my life. John will be missed as my special auntie remains in my heart forever.Donna Nugent
