Condolence & Memory Journal

To Julie, Matt and Mark,

It's taken me some time to think about what I can say about Don that would give you some comfort but I don't think that is possible. So I will say this, Don was one of the greatest guys I knew and I will miss his friendship forever.

My uncle Don was the best, just all around a sweet patient soul. One of my favorite memories with him goes back to when I was around 5 or 6 years old. I had a vet game on a CD, No one was able to figure out how to hook it up...that was until uncle don got ahold of it and was able to set it up for me. It was something so small but I remember how patient he was when setting it up and how he let me use his best computer; he talked a lot about how he loved working with computers. It may seem like a small memory that happened a very long time ago but I will always appreciate him. He will be so incredibly missed by all of his family but never forgotten

"Baby Donny" as you were known in your younger years would always make me laugh with your side jokes and that snicker! You were the light of the family at the gatherings. I will miss you dearly.
Julie, Matt and Mark, you make a wonderful family that Don loved. Thank you for taking care of him and I wish you love and peace.

Uncle Don was a truly great man. I already miss his kind heart, bright smile, and wittiness. He was always there to check in with me and catch up each time I saw him. I am so sad he has left us, but I am grateful for the time we had with him and that he is no longer in pain. I know we will see each other in heaven again one day.

I love you Uncle Don and the LeDuc family!

To My Aunty Julie, Matt and Mark,
I want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We will all miss Uncle Don. We will miss his smile, kindness and sense of humor. I loved my Uncle Don. I loved that he always made me feel at ease. He was good at that. Loosening up the energy in the room with a quick joke and friendly smile. Losing Uncle Don has left a hole in all our hearts. My Uncle Don fought long and hard through a sickness not many are strong enough to face. He faced it with strength, bravery, and faith in the Lord. I am certain my Uncle Don is looking down upon us smiling and laughing along with us as we walk down memory lane. Uncle Don, I love you so much and I cannot wait for the day that I can hear you crack some more jokes. Until then, I will constantly be reminded to live a life as you did, with laughter and kindness. And to My beautiful and brave Aunty Julie, thank you for bringing Uncle Don into all of our lives and making this family an even brighter place to be apart of! Your unwavering faith in God is such a beautiful example to all of us! You will forever astound me with your huge heart and bright soul that cannot be dimmed. To Matt and Mark, you guys are the exact image of your father and what it truly means to be a good person! You are polite, brave and kind sons that held a special place in your fathers heart. And I hold you guys very close to mine. I pray you all stay strong, I love you all immensely.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Loving God,
You call us into relationship with you and with one another.
You give us friends and family to be with us on life's journey.
We thank you for godparents who pray for us,
listen to us, help us make good choices, and show us
more about Jesus.
Bless them on their journey of faith, and encourage them in their prayers for the children of every age they
promised to support.
In Jesus name,
I'd like to thank Auntie Julie and Uncle Don for being the most kind and loving godparents. Uncle Don was truly a gift from God, and we were all so lucky to have such a wonderful man in our lives. Thank you, God, for giving us this time with him, and we know he continues to share his love for us in Heaven.

Julie, I'm truly sorry for your loss. Don was always so kind and funny, never failed to make me smile when I had the chance over the years to catch up with him at some family party or event. You obviously had such a great life together, and I hope all those happy memories will bring you and your boys some comfort. You're all in my thoughts.

My uncle Don was an incredible person full of kindness, patience, and strength. Even while surrounded by our large and energetic family he always made a point to reach out to everyone individually to ask how we were doing and crack a couple of jokes to put smiles on our faces. He fought hard against a cruel disease and his strength and faith through it all was an inspiration. It truly breaks my heart that he couldn't have more time with us here on earth, though it brings me comfort to know that he is at peace and watching over us. We will all miss Don endlessly, but his spirit lives on in all of the lives that he's touched.

I send all of my love to my aunt Julie, and to my cousins and friends Matt and Mark. The burden of this loss may feel unbearable at times, but I hope you know you can always lean on those of us who love you to help relieve some of this pain. To Don's mother, siblings, extended family, and friends, I can only imagine how difficult this is for you as well, and I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that some of Don's strength will be passed on to every person that loved and was loved by him. Rest peacefully uncle Don, you will forever be in our hearts.

Dear Julie, Matt and Mark,
There are no words to express the deep sorrow in our hearts for the loss of Don. There are also not enough kind words to describe just how wonderful a man Don was. From the moment I met him (over 30 years ago) I knew immediately what a sweet, kind, gentle and VERY funny guy he was! I was only a teenager when Don invited me to tag along on his date with my sister and that was it, he was instantly my favorite! I think I may have loved him more than my sister did at the time! I have known Don for over 30 years and there isn’t a nicer more laid back man on the planet! I watched he and my sister raise two beautiful and equally kind and wonderful sons. I am a better person for having known him. He handled his illness with strength and courage and was regularly holding US up through it all. We will forever miss Don but are comforted to know he is with Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother, who are holding their dear son in their arms. May God bless my sister Julie and her two wonderful boys, Matt and Mark knowing that they will forever have a piece of their hearts missing. I love you all with all my heart and pray you may find comfort in the many signs you will receive that let you know that your dad is in Heaven.
